About the Data

School district assignments come from the NCES Geographic Relationship Files (2024-2025), the official federal source mapping zip codes to school districts across the US.

District performance data for major districts is sourced from NCES Common Core of Data, state department of education report cards, and publicly available district profiles. We are continuously working to expand and improve data coverage for all 19,900+ zip codes.
